  Jesus The Perfect Reflection Of The Father?

  so this week's wt study was all about jesus and the miracles he performed.

  according to the study this proves that god wants to heal mankind in the same way.

  because as we all know jesus is a perfect reflection of his heavenly father.

  Jesus is not a perfect reflection of the father. The father had a man killed for picking up sticks on the sabbath. The father stipulated that a person is to not even light a fire in his home on the sabbath! The father had very strict rules punishable by death.

  But Jesus performed cures on the sabbath. Jesus advocated breaking the rules to show compassion. Jesus was not a stickler for rules. He valued compassion, discretion and reasonableness above following rules. The father advocated breaking the necks of anyone who broke the rules.

  Jehovah's Witnesses are aptly named. They are not followers of christ. They are followers of Jehovah. Jesus broke the rules to show compassion by healing on the sabbath. Jehovah's Witnesses reject compassion to uphold the rules. They rather see a child die than compassionately allow him/her to receive a lifesaving blood transfusion.

  i usually open posts such as this one with disclaimer for the atheists/agnostics out there.

  i respect your position and what i tried to do in posts like this one is discuss the bible, wether you believe the stories or not.. i believe it is well known that in jw doctrine it is thought that no one has ever seen god.

  this teaching is also supplemented by the accounts of moises, where jehovah told him that no one can see him and yet live to tell the tale.. i, however, was always puzzled by some of the grammar in the bible where it seems to imply that god appeared to people.

  Maybe the angels of Jehovah act like a tele-presence medium such that Jehovah speaks directly through them and manifests his physical likeness through the angel's being. Think of it like Jehovah possessing the angel except it's a very thorough possession such that the angel becomes like an exact image or representation of Jehovah. So in practical terms the person is seeing Jehovah and hearing him speak directly although technically, Jehovah is not literally present but is projecting an exact representation of his presence through the angel. By way of illustration, think of speaking to someone over a video phone. You can see the person and hear their direct speech, using the video phone as a medium. But the person is not literally physically present. In a similar sense maybe the angel's of Jehovah function as a super advanced video phone - or more accurately, a tele-presence device - so that it can be said that the person sees Jehovah. The bit about not being able to see Jehovah and live, applies to seeing him directly if he is physically present.

  i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.

  i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.

  so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

  Yes. And clearly the guy is wearing a dress tie under his winter coat. So based on appearances - and we all know that's what counts the most in JW-land - the methods of these two health product promoters is comparable to the JWs' preaching methods. There's no room for JWs to honestly weasel out of it.
